A Vowel Sing-Along

If you're looking for a great book to use to identify or simply review vowels, Jim Tobin's book, Sue MacDonald Had a Book is a great read! Be sure to practice your "Old MacDonald beforehand ;). In this book Sue MacDonald searches various locations to find A, E, I, O and U after they have jumped off the pages of the book she is reading. I used this book in a Skype read aloud session with a student in our class that is homebound due to Spinal Muscular Atrophy. After reading the book I had the students raise their hands if they had the vowel that I mentioned in their name. This was a great activity that allowed all of the students to participate.
