"No Dragons for Tea"

This week in Kindergarten we are talking about Fire Safety. While doing a Book Search through one of the tools Google offers I came across the book No Dragons for Tea by Jean Pendziwol and Martine Gourbault. This book is about a little girl that becomes friends with a dragon and invites him over for snacks and tea. During the dragons visit he sneezes and fire shoots out of his nose catching the house on fire. The book does a great job at going through the steps of what you should do in the event your house catches on fire. At the end of the book there are discussion questions and a fire safety rhyme. I highly recommend reading this book to any primary classroom during fire safety week or just as a friendly review of how to stay safe if there is a fire.
